"Right, Eve, I want you to span your wings out like this," explained Zoltus as he stretched his grey wings out into the mystifying fog. Only the thick black and white barred marking of his wings pierced through the darkness. "When you do this you can feel the air curling around your wings. You must feel for this, as this is the life of flight. Learn to shape the wind at your will and you will master flight," positively spoke Zoltus standing in the damp grass that came half way up his breast.

Flying silently above the Forest Kingdom of Tyto, Eve could feel the frosty wind curling around the tips of her flight feathers as she glided effortlessly through the midnight sky; inhaling the fresh air she breathed it out slowly creating soft smoke that faded into the frigid air. The air was bitterly cold yet energizing, she felt free as any fully fledged owl. Feeling calm her gaze leisurely moved smoothly across the immense canopy of fir trees, they seemed endless to her as they faded off into the mist. I awoke in the doctors hollow, where I fell asleep last day. Honestly I was still tired but that didn't matter now. I wanted a word with "Strixy" and her team. I rushed into breakfast and just had milk berry tea nootie nut bread. I walked fast down to the hollow that Strixy had taken me to the other day.
"Hello Stella how are you?"
"Listen Strix I want you to help me. Your right I cant fly."
"DEAR! What happened to your face?"
"Long story but please help me."
"Alright alright. Before you actually take to the winds you will start in here with basic wing exercises to. I will try to help you develop habits to make you fly more evenly."

Chapter31-Who am I?Loren and Caspian had figured out what happened. They ran to the aid of the chicks, Stella, and Kanak in the Infirmary. Although they were fine there was one soul who wasnt. And he couldnt shut up.

"Why have you been here, tormenting family, friends, and chicks?" Said the questioner
"Why havent you?" he said with delight. The others were heavily guarding the room and the questioner put a talon to my face, forcing my head to the floor.
"Now that you shall listen..." I cut him off
"Who says I will?" I snorted
"Hagmire does." I gulped. He was talking about the devil.
"Shouldnt you get me medical help. I could die of blood loss."

Chapter 29- Going DownThe chicks were discussing about how it feels to fly. They all conversed except Alora. She just listened. It maddened her and she didn't like it, plus at this rate she never would even get to free fall.
"Axel your so brave, going after Aloralike that. How'd you do it?" Said Autumn
The brother among sisters answered in a modest tone "Well it wasn't brave just more of an instinct I guess and I didn't fly I just controlled how how I glided really." Alora was snapping. His every word manipulating her nerves, tickling them and then crushing them. "Well how come you glided so well then?" Said Eve with a tone of wonder.

Chapter28- I AM DARRIENI took a flight to nowhere. I didn't have a direction just forward. It wasn't long until I landed at a sea cliff a fair distance from the Ga'Hoole tree. When I landed I heard a sobbing noise from below. I swung my head down to investigate. It was a male barn owl-or something. He looked up and I quickly looked away. His scarred, disfigured face with one eye blind, the image was burned into my brain so deep as my instincts were. He shot out from the rocky crevice like lightning from the sky. I fell back as he rose above me, something gleaming. Perhaps his eyes with triumph or his talons sheathed in metal. I staggered to my feet and took off in Chapter28- I AM DARRIEN by ~wolfofsecrets
